We’re excited to welcome Carson Ortolani and Elvia Perez to the LOVC team!
Carson is an Associate at LOVC. He joined the firm after graduating summa cum laude from Northeastern University with a degree in Business and Design. At Northeastern, he served as Investment Director of IDEA, the university’s venture accelerator, where he led fundraising efforts for student and alumni startups. Prior to LOVC, Carson supported go-to-market strategy at Inrupt, the company founded by Sir Tim Berners-Lee to reshape the web through personal data ownership. He has experience supporting entrepreneurs from a number of different platforms through previous roles at Techstars Boston and Glasswing Ventures. Outside of work, Carson enjoys running, hiking in national parks, visiting art galleries, and exploring new coffee shops.
Elvia is an Associate at LOVC. She brings experience in investment banking at Barclays and early-stage investing at Inicio Ventures. Elvia holds a B.A. in Economics and Entrepreneurship from Brown University, where she was selected as the Economics Department’s commencement speaker. While at Brown, she founded EmpowerU, an edtech startup that advanced through Brown’s B-Lab Accelerator, the Venture Prize Competition, and later Techstars. She also served as a Peer Entrepreneur in Residence at the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship and as Director of Brown EP, Brown’s flagship student entrepreneurship program. In her free time, Elvia enjoys listening to live music, giving back through her work with GirlsIntoVC, spending time with her dog Cash, and relaxing by the beach
As we grow, bringing on thoughtful, founder-first team members like Carson and Elvia helps us strengthen our support for entrepreneurs. We’re excited for them to help us partner with and support the next generation of founders building category-defining companies.
